Fundamental training sessions
The Fundamental Session is your first 1-on-1 session with an experienced personal trainer. You have the option of two types of fundamental sessions.
1-on-1 personal training session
A personal training session is a great way to establish the basic movements involved in our group classes, get modifications based on your ability, and get a taste of a personal training session.
Most sessions follow this general format:
Meet the trainer + goal discussion
Movement assessment + warm-up
Sample workout, or common exercise demonstrations
Cool-down + suggested fitness plan moving forward (NOT a sales pitch)
Why choose the 1-on-1 personal training session?
The personal training session is a great way for group fitness members to become familiar with the basics that they will see in class, and also serves as an intro for personal training members. It is a great opportunity to learn how an experienced personal trainer would program for you, and how they would modify the things you would see in those group classes to best suit you. Leave with a taste of personal training, and if it is not for you, leave also with a professionals opinion on what classes would best suit you.
1-on-1 Fitness Assessment
Fitness Assessments are a series of measurements and exercises designed to evaluate your physical health and abilities. They help in understanding your current fitness level, setting realistic goals, and tracking progress over time. These assessments offer personalized insights to guide you through your fitness journey.
Our fitness assessments include the following categories, with each category including multiple testing options.
Pre-test considerations
Body composition
Cardiovascular assessment
Muscular strength assessment
Muscular endurance assessment
Flexibility and mobility assessment
Why choose the 1-on-1 Fitness Assessment?
The fitness assessment is a great opportunity to set a baseline for yourself and your fitness goals. Then you can use that information to aid in deciding what classes would be best for you to take, or to aid in what type of program your trainer should make for you. Once that data is gathered, you can retest later to compare your current and past results. This is a concrete way to prove your progress!
