REBECCA BRITT

As a child, I was focused solely on sports. Whether playing, watching, or simply dreaming of becoming a professional athlete, I had my life planned out. However, as life often has other plans for us, I found myself mired in health complications in my 20s and barely able to function. It was a super slow process, but by my mid-30s I had a normal enough life. I was practicing yoga and learning about compassionate communication.

In my 40s I discovered the world of resistance training and decided to make a career shift to incorporate my new-found love of intense exercise and exercise science into how I connect with myself, as well as with others. My struggles have taught me how to have self-care, self-compassion, and an eagerness for each day as they come.

I am a graduate of PCC’s Exercise Science program and live in SE Portland with my wife, stepson, and furry 4-legged children. I spend most of my time taking care of my mind, my body, my family, and our home. I am happiest engaging with others in a way that promotes growth for the self or for the community.

Whether in an exercise class, hiking, snowboarding, bouldering, or cycling, I try to incorporate movement into each and every day. I have nearly 20 years of experience in various fitness industries and I’m eager to share my passions in order to help others more fully enjoy their lives.
